On Saturday November 22, 2025, twenty plus local food establishments will serve up daily specials featuring Eastham Turnip ~ turnip appetizers to turnip soups, turnip sides to turnip entrees, perhaps even turnip ice cream!

Turn Up for Tunes at the Chapel in Pines

Back again by popular demand: Cathy Hatch and the Cape Cod Ukulele Club will perform their repertoire of whimsical tunes at 11 am

NEW this year: Watch Your Step will perform at 1 pm

Blessing of the Turnips
Transportation Reporter for GHB News and local resident, Bob Seay, will deliver the Blessing of the Turnips.

Turn Up for Fun Day at the Eastham Public Library

A variety of turnip-themed amusements for the young and young at heart will be available:

• Payomet Circus Performances throughout the day starting at 10:30 am
• Face painting with Nicole Pierce
• Henna body art with Jo Ann Whittemore
• Caricature art with Susan Festa
• Turnip Turnip Farming in Eastham ~ historical exhibit researched by Marca Daley & adapted for the library
• Temporary turnip tattoos
• Enormous Turnip Contest ~ guess the weight of our pumpkin wanna be!
• Photo ops with our mascots Mr. & Ms. Turnip
• Make & take turnip crafts
• Turnip Games ~ Turnip Bowling, Turn Hole (our version of Corn Hole), Connect Four Turnips, and more!
• Turnip Merchandise ~ The Friends of the Eastham Library will be selling t- shirts, hats, turnip cookbooks, notecards, magnets and more!
• StoryWalk® featuring Oh, Deer! written by Phaea Crede and illustrated by Erica J. Chen ~ on the grounds of the library

Back by popular demand! Harvest-themed offerings and entertainment spotlighting the Mashpee Wampanoag:

• November 15, 2025 (1 week before Turnip Day!) Wampanoag Nation Singers & Dancers ~ live interactive performance at 1:30 pm
• Wampanoag make & take crafts ~ wampum pendants and cornhusk dolls ~ 11:30 to 2:30 pm

Turn Up for Tool Time at the Swift Daley House

Visit this branch of the Eastham Historical Society at 2375 State Highway, 10 am – 3 pm. Mark Herman will fire up the historic forge and give demonstrations. Farming implements from bygone years will be exhibited and folks can bring in their old tools for identification and appraisals. View the Tracing Our Roots exhibit to learn about Eastham’s agricultural history.

Turn Up for Tours at the Eastham Windmill

Visit this historic landmark on Windmill Green, believed to be the oldest and last working gristmill on Cape Cod, from 10 am to 3 pm. Chat with a miller about its role in Eastham’s agricultural history.
